Óscar Recio Morales
Óscar Recio Morales is a Post Dissertation Doctoral Teaching Assistant (Profesor Contratado Doctor) at the Complutense University of Madrid. His work focuses on the role of foreign communities in Spain, British and Irish History, and Military History. He directs the Spanish Government Project 2016-2019, ‘The Other Europe: Eastern Europeans Communities in Spain and Its Wider World’, which he coordinates with the project of the University of Alicante directed by Prof. José Cutillas Ferrer.
José Cutillas Ferrer
José Cutillas Ferrer is Professor of Arab and Islamic Studies at the University of Alicante. He works on early modern Iran and its connections with Europe and Asia. Together with Rudi Matthee and Enrique García Hernán, he is the editor of the book The Spanish Monarchy and Safavid Persia in the Early Modern Period. Politics, War and Religion (2016). He is founding member of the Ibero-Safavid Council of Historic Studies. In coordination with Professor Óscar Recio, he directsthe Spanish Government Project: Trans-Imperial Life Trajectories. Communities and Individuals of the Safavid Dynasty in Spain and Portugal During the Modern Period. He was two-time fellow at the University of Allameh Tabatabai (I.R. Iran) 2002-04, and fellow at the New University of Lisbon, 2017.
